Daddy Freeze reveals two things that need to be fixed in order to stop the impending famine in Nigeria.

Diligent Ifedayo Olarinde, often known as Daddy Freeze, is a well-known media figure in Nigeria who has warned of impending starvation in the nation.

According to news reports, Daddy Freeze announced this in a video message posted on his social media pages.

He said that if Nigeria doesn't export enough commodities to earn hard currency in return, the Naira will keep falling in value.

In order to fight the impending famine, he counseled Nigerians who were earning N50,000 a month in the cities to go back to their communities and start farming.

Additionally, Daddy Freeze pleaded with the government to help regional producers.

He said: “We will continue to see the decline in our currency because we are not selling anything and getting hard currencies in return. That needs to be fixed by two sets of people: the government and the citizenry.

“Citizens, if you’re working in Lagos and you’re earning N50,000 monthly, I think it is high time you went back to your village, got some land and started farming. There’s a looming possibility of a famine in this country. There’s not enough food to go around.

Based on my comprehension of the circumstances, I would advise you to: My Igbo siblings are constructing mansions to outdo one another in the hamlet.I'm not saying it's bad, but increase the number of factories rather than homes.

"You must expand your factory construction, and the government must help you. The government must take all necessary measures to ensure the success of your enterprises.

"And by business, I mean companies that want to export goods. Exporting anything you are making is a good idea. Milk from Denmark and France is imported by us. We are not limited to using oil. The government must assist regional producers.

Mercy Eke on Why She Didn't Win Big Brother Naija Again

Mercy Eke, the 2019 Big Brother Naija "PepperDem" edition winner, has explained why she was not chosen to win the reality TV program a second time.

News notes that in 2023, Mercy came in second place and 22-year-old Ilebaye won the "All-Stars" edition.
Mercy Eke said she didn't make it to the second round of Celebrity Quickies because fans "were allergic to winners" in a recent video of the show that was uploaded on comedian AY's YouTube page.

She claimed that a lot of people brought up her prior victory and the possessions she had made.

"When I first entered the Big Brother House, everyone there was adorable and kind," the woman remarked. I won the show because I played the game. When I returned a second time, I discovered that people were allergic to winners, even though at the time I thought everything was adorable.

“They were like, ‘She had that, she can’t have it again. She has this, she can’t have it again.’ That’s why I did not win for the second time because they are allergic to winners. They were like, ‘She is already rich, give others a chance.’

."She had that, she can't have it again," they said. This is hers, and she won't get it back. They are averse to winners, which is why I was unable to win a second time. "She's already wealthy, give others a chance," they said.

I really enjoyed this second experience. I won't even try to draw conclusions from it because it opened my eyes to people's true selves. I wouldn't know a lot of things if it weren't for this second experience, thus it can only be God's doing. I had no idea that wanting to win again would be illegal. However, I am still the winner.

Peter Obi Calls For Urgent Health Care Reforms (Please a follow share this post thanks God Bless you) read more

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party at the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has called for the need to urgently reform the country’s health sector.

Making this call in a post on his official X account, Obi lamented that the state of Tungan Madaki Primary Healthcare Centre, which he visited on Thursday, was an indication that the country’s healthcare sector desperately needs massive reform

News reports that Obi lamented that less than 10 per cent of the healthcare centres across the country operate effectively.

He said, “On a visit to Tungan Madaki Primary Healthcare Centre, Abuja, today, February 15, 2024, as part of World Sick Week, I saw the extent of our desperate need for massive reforms in the healthcare sector.

“My observations highlighted the imperative of addressing the deteriorating conditions in the health sector which remains the cornerstone of our societal advancement.

“This visit has underscored the urgent need to revitalize the health sector, which is integral to the Human Development Index (HDI) encompassing health, education, and per capita income which are crucial for poverty alleviation.

“Less than 10% of primary healthcare centres nationwide operate effectively. The problems range from issues like infrastructure decay, equipment shortages, and understaffing. With over 50 centres, accounting for 70%, in a state of disrepair, immediate attention is imperative on a national scale. Regrettably, our nation’s prioritization of resources falls short of best practices. This is exemplified by the misallocation of funds. While primary healthcare receives approximately N59 billion, over N70 billion is diverted towards procuring vehicles and constructing car parks for National Assembly members. These disparities are baffling, especially considering Nigeria’s high infant mortality rate compared to India’s despite our having a significantly smaller population.
